Esherick to Implement ‘Shock and Awe’ Strategy in NIT

Georgetown Men’s Basketball Head Coach Craig Esherick told reporters today that he is planning on implementing a “Shock and Awe” strategy in order to win the NIT basketball tournament this March.

“I’ve been thinking about it,” Esherick said, “and I made up the term ‘Shock and Awe’ to describe how I want to play this tournament. I plan on implementing lots of shock and lots of awe as well.”

“The most shocking and awesome player we have is Mike Sweeney…err, Sweetney. I plan on getting him the ball and encouraging him to bomb the hell out of our opponents under the boards…it’s all part of my new ‘Shock and Awe’ strategy.”

Esherick added: “Say, I really like this term! Shock and Awe! Gee Whiz!”

Critics of Mr. Esherick have said that his coaching all year has been both shocking and awful. Coach Esherick also stressed that his new plan does not involve former Hoya basketball star Boubacar Aw.
