Betsy DeVos Hires Author of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” to Ghost Write Memoir

By

Washington, D.C. – Secretary Betsy DeVos announced today that her ghostwriter will be Eric Carl, the Author of the beloved “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” series. In response to her sudden prominence after being appointed Secretary of Education, now Secretary DeVos has decided to publish a memoir written by her long-time favorite novelist.

Devos reported that she chose Carl primarily because she “loves the pretty pictures” in his previous work. Referencing how confusing big words can be, the Secretary is confident in Carl’s ability to include lots of illustrations and as many simple, straightforward sentences as possible in telling her story.

Skeptics question Carl’s ability to explain the full depth of DeVos’s personal and professional experience through watercolor images of animals. While teachers across the country worry that Devos’ experience will directly affect the standards of education in the country, they as teachers respect the Secretary’s honesty in choosing a ghost writer who is authentic to her own reading level. America eagerly awaits what is sure to be a work full of keen insight into the mind of this already so highly esteemed official.
