This has led to increasing pressure by students for the University to address its problematic social and political legacy. But the administration says asking them to solve <em>all<\/em> the school\u2019s problems is unreasonable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere\u2019s just so much wrong,\u201d one source, who preferred to remain unnamed, commented, \u201cAnd some of it\u2019s not even our fault.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So rather than the complete, systemic overhaul students have been clamoring for, Georgetown is opting for a piecemeal approach.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And they\u2019re starting with laundry.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some students have pointed out that this is a strange place to begin, not only because laundry does not address many of the more serious issues on campus, but also because it\u2019s one of the few things about the school that does not actually present a problem for the majority of its students. But the administration emphasizes that just because something isn\u2019t a problem <em>now<\/em> doesn&#8217;t mean we shouldn\u2019t expand considerable time and resources toward maintaining it not being a problem.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And, they add, this is only the beginning. \u201cWe can\u2019t say for sure,\u201d another source told us, \u201cBut if we play our cards right, we might finally get around to painting those Lau staircases everyone\u2019s always complaining about.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When asked for comments about the new laundry app, one student remarked, \u201cYeah, I mean, it\u2019s fine.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As many students already know, over the past few months, Georgetown has been wracked with one crisis after another, including issues relating to hate crimes, lack of access to healthcare, and unsanitary food conditions.
