Recent polls indicate that many Americans are reluctant to get tested for COVID-19 because they do not want to have the testing swab inserted into their nose. 

Well, we have news for you, America. That COVID test is not psyched to be going up there either! Is America so bold as to think it is the only one unhappy in this arrangement? The whole testing situation is no walk in the park for the nasal swabs either. Your nose is not a pleasant place for a swab to go, yet it endures with dignity so that it may fulfill its singular purpose. 

Put yourself in the place of that COVID-19 test. Your day as a swab began perfectly well, resting in sterile packaging. All of the sudden, destiny calls, and you are jammed into a dark, sticky cavern. You whirl and whirl around until you are removed, momentarily relieved. Before long, you are thrust into another hellish cave and subjected to the same horrors. And then they do science to you, but you persist because that is your true calling. 

America, you say you do not want to get tested, but consider the nasal swab. The burden borne by these swabs is immense, as the average nose is distasteful at best, yet the swabs soldier on. If you will not get tested for yourself, your loved ones or your country, please get tested because of your respect for the duty of a swab.
