We at The Heckler like to consider ourselves paragons of serious, high-minded journalism. But we understand that times are changing. In recent years, sites like Buzzfeed have pioneered a new category of web content: the listicle. Now, The Georgetown Heckler has been called a lot of things over the years — unprofessional, lazy, sexually inadequate — but we have never been known as an institution unwilling to adapt. So, if what readers want are vapid strings of GIFs and images, tailored to appeal to a hyper-specific audience in the hopes of earning shares on Facebook and increasing traffic to our website, then, by golly, we are more than happy to oblige.
