VERIZON CENTER — Having stored enough energy for the winter, Georgetown Center Joshua Smith announced Saturday that he would hibernate for the rest of winter. “This is an ongoing process that my teammates and coach have been supportive of. It is a natural process for me to store large amounts of energy and lower my metabolism for the winter while slumbering deep within Copley.”  Smith explained while eating to add to his winter reserves. When informed of the news, Coach John Thompson III commented, “Josh is an experienced player that I am confident will contribute on both ends of the court in March when he awakens from his state of inactivity and metabolic depression in endotherms.” In the meantime, fans and the coaching staff alike are speculating what Josh will look like when he emerges having used up his reserves.
