Georgetown DPS Breaks Up Party Before It Even Starts

By

NEVILS — Seven hours before Matt Claiborne (COL ’16) was set to throw a birthday party for his best friend Jared O’Neill (SFS ’15), he heard a forceful knock on his door.

Officers continually threatened to “bring Claiborne downtown” without providing any context for their demands.

After Claiborne failed to open the door within 30 seconds, two Georgetown Police Officers broke down his Nevils’ door to enter the apartment, shouting for people to clear the premises.

“There was no one there but me,” Claiborne, 20, said. “They just kept shouting at the walls.”

“It was getting out of hand. There were too many people there,” said Officer Jonathan Davis, 41, who enjoys gardening when not on duty for his night job.

“It was a clear fire hazard and a threat to the community.”

Officer Davis then declined to comment further on the matter, claiming that he had the right to remain silent, or “something like that,” because of Miranda rights.

“I hadn’t even bought the alcohol yet,” Claiborne said. He was researching potential summer internships at the time. “They tried to make me leave my own apartment and to show ID for all the beer in my apartment. When I refused, I was written up.”

Freshman William Jefferson (SFS ’18) was the only witness on the scene. He’s been quoted as telling his friends as well as every girl he’s come across “Claiborne’s? Oh yeah. I was there. It was lit, bruh.” After awkwardly chuckling, Jefferson continued saying “There were so many people there. This junior was trying to get with me, but I had to dip because of the cops.”

“Never heard of him,” Claiborne remarked when asked about Jefferson.

The future of O’Neill’s birthday banger is now in serious jeopardy, as Claiborne has been put on a semester’s worth of probation.

Insiders speculate they may watch Netflix instead.
