HARBIN — In a recent phone call with his parents, freshman Kyle Spencer (COL ‘18) shared that he “loves all DC has to offer” and that after half a semester he “really knows the ropes” of the nation’s capital.

Spencer said he “really hopes” to be able to make a trip to the Lincoln Memorial in the next four years but would be willing to wait until after graduation.

Kyle called his family after returning from Dupont Circle, to regale them with his adventures in the capital of the United States. He eagerly shared stories of the flourishing culture in Dupont and highlighted the Krispy Kreme donuts and the Panera Bread.

He also mentioned the “convenient access to the subway.”

After growing up in rural Iowa, Spencer was reportedly very excited about the prospect of getting into the “center of it all.” Spencer has taken advantage of this by remarking about how he “totally lives there” whenever Washington D.C. is mentioned in the news and hoping to someday see the Lincoln Memorial.

In conversations with friends in Iowa, Kyle has bragged that he knows people who have been to the Smithsonian museums and even been inside the Capitol building. When asked what his favorite DC activity was, Kyle responded that it was definitely “hitting up M Street and eating at this cool restaurant called ‘Chipotle.’”

Kyle’s friends at Georgetown have all expressed their jealousy over his engagement in the city. One floormate stated, “He just seems to really enjoy exploring DC.”

At press time, Kyle Spencer was seen wearing a “DChillin” bro-tank and a Washington Nationals baseball cap.
