CAWLEY CAREER CENTER — Calling it an “unexpected disappointment” senior Sean DeBraggio (MSB ’15) was notified by email that he was not selected for a second round interview to hook up with Mackenzie Kinsington.
After extensive research, mock interviews and several thorough coffee chats DeBraggio was convinced he had a second round interview.
“I talked with a lot of people who had hooked up with Kinsington before so I thought that would give me a leg up,” said DeBraggio. “But I guess at the end of the day it’s kind of just a crap shoot.”
DeBraggio received the rejection email several days before the scheduled second round interview.
“Dear hook-up applicant, I would like to thank you for the time and effort you put into trying to hook up with me. Unfortunately this was a very competitive pool and I am unable to offer you a chance to hook up with me at this time,” an email from Kinsington read. “We hope you continue to consider me for future hook up opportunities when they arise.”
DeBraggio said he would have liked to have a received a second interview just for experiences’ sake.
“Apparently she brings you out to her townhouse and all the drinks are comped.”
Despite the rejection DeBraggio is trying to take a positive view.
“I guess it all depends on how many hook ups she is accepting this semester,” said DeBraggio.
He had expressed hope that he could use this temporary position to catapult himself to having a more serious long-term relationship in future.
“I was hopeful at the end of the semester we could reevaluate and see if it was a good fit for both of us,” said DeBraggio. “But at the end of the day no one turns down Kinsington.”
DeBraggio said he was still confident with his shot at landing a hook up with one of the other top tier hotties in his grade.
At press time DeBraggio was seen Facebook stalking Sarah Goldman’s interest in preparation for his interview on Tuesday.
