Engine will be forced to postpone the Georgetown leg of his national speaking tour.

GASTON — Telling reporters that the event would be rescheduled following renovations to improve Gaston Hall Stage’s structural integrity, Lecture Fund President Georgio Perry (SFS ’15) announced Thursday that the upcoming lecture by an 850-Ton Engine is cancelled until further notice.  “If Gaston can’t handle 1,700,000 lbs. of steam turbine power, then so be it,” said Perry, who noted that he would have to call the engine’s agent later in the afternoon to settle on another date.  “I was really psyched for this, I just finished watching the Engine’s most recent series, I am a Very Heavy Engine That Has Generated Electrical Power for Most of Nevada Since June of 2010.  Well, we’ll hear it lecture one day.”  Perry added that concerns over what Gaston can support may affect upcoming lectures by an oil tanker and a huge bolder, but that Lecture Fund will continue planning until more details emerge.
