VERIZON CENTER — Taking note of just how many Hoyas were scrambling to secure tickets for tomorrow’s home game against the #11 Kansas Jayhawks, John Thompson III reported that he was feeling “elated” he had secured a seat a mere few feet from the action.  “Kansas is a great basketball program. As a fan of the game this should be so much fun to watch,” said Thompson, although some insiders have questioned whether he was only able to secure such prime seating because his father coached Georgetown’s basketball program during its zenith in the 1980s. “It just no fair how some people can exploit connections like that. Shouldn’t there be a more merit-based system?” said Diego Xander (MSB ’16). “I just feel like he’s going to ruin the game somehow being that close.” At press time Thompson was on the phone with his father asking if it was okay to talk to the players during the game.
