GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY PRESS – College Dean Edmund Ralph was pleased to find out earlier today that his memoir, “A Complete Set of My Walk-In Hours, M-F, 1998-2017” was officially added to the Georgetown University Press’ slate for spring publications.
“Well, of course it’s a dream come true!” Ralph commented, dusting off his hands on his beige Dockers. “Some people say that I don’t have an interesting life, and to them I say: ‘if that’s true, how come I manage to watch Frasier reruns every. Single. night?’”
Members of Dean Ralph’s department were honestly surprised that he had even written a memoir. “Oh wow, so Ed had something to write about?” wrote veteran Dean’s aid, Rory Andleson. “He has a grey office, with no photos on the wall. The most colorful thing he has is his manila folders. I didn’t imagine he had much to say.”
Dean Ralph’s transcript clocks in at a hefty 1,238 pages. Pages 4 – 1,231 are exclusively detailed lists of each semester’s walk-in hours. “Walk-in 2001 was absurd!” noted Dean Ralph as he poured himself a glass of flat soda. “There was a Tuesday when no one came in. It was in-sane.”
Dean Ralph’s book is expected to appear in the Georgetown University Bookstore in May. There has been 1 preorder. “
I can’t wait for my copy!” giggled a giddy Dean Ralph. “I already preordered!”
