WASHINGTON – We have finally done it! Since setting plans in motion to become The Georgetown Harvard Lampoon in 2009, we have been engaged in a lengthy legal dispute. A new document that has surfaced in this case has blown it wide open and the name “The Harvard Lampoon” is ours! At least that’s what we surmised from our admittedly limited knowledge of reading documents. This one says that we are ‘liable’ to ‘compensate’ “The Harvard Lampoon” for any use of their name or images, which we could tell was a bit of a drag. But then the document went on to discuss “The Harvard Lampoon’s” expressed written consent so we figure that we’re in the clear.
Heckler fans rejoice! We have the name we’ve always wanted, and with a name so fun, I’m certain we’ll rocket right to the top.
