Holy Trinity Elementary School, located just one block from Georgetown’s main campus, has filed an official request with the Cardinal O’Connor Conference, demanding that next year’s conference be hosted at a location at least as far or farther than the distance sex offenders are required to maintain from schools as per federal and district statutes. The school’s statement is below:

“Having that many priests so close to an elementary school is—just statistically—really not something we can legally allow. It’s not as if any of them have exactly demonstrated a profound respect for others’ bodily autonomy, so that really compounds the issue. And we promise this request is not just because we don’t want so many fucking annoying weirdos descending on a campus basically adjacent to ours.”
