Rams Take Restaurant Job While Awaiting Big Break in LA

St. Louis Rams v San Diego Chargers

HOLLYWOOD, CA – In a move that critics have been quick to call desperate, the newly relocated St. Louis Rams accepted a job waiting tables in Los Angeles’s most iconic neighborhood while waiting on their professional football career to take off. “We want to emphasize that we’ll only be working at The Hungry Cat until we finally land that big role we’ve been waiting for. We’re thinking of this as kind of a stepping stone on our way to stardom,” said Rams head coach Jeff Fisher before adding that the entire 45-man roster had recently closed on a small apartment in one of the cities more down-trodden but affordable neighborhoods. “If I’m being completely honest, it has been a little disappointing thus far. We answered an advertisement the other day thinking it was gonna be the big rags-to-riches opportunity we’ve been waiting for our whole lives,” continued Fisher, “they gave some younger high school football team the spot instead.” At press time, sources confirmed that the University of Southern California graduate was later seen on the phone with Roger Goodell asking for a little money to get the team through the week.
