New Aquatic Badminton Club Leads to Epidemic of Swimmer’s Ear, Tennis Elbow

By

Georgetown is known for its all-encompassing and ever-changing club scene. Recently,
a new club formed, garnering a great deal of attention. Aquatic Badminton was founded by Jerry
Nazareth (COL ‘21) with the aim of marrying his two passions, racquet sports and indoor
swimming pools. “I was tired of being so dry during badminton,” explained Nazareth.
However, Aquatic Badminton is not all laughs and splashes. Its inception has been
linked to an sharp rise in the number of students dragging themselves to the Student Health
Center with pain in their elbows and inflamed ear canals.
“It’s really just the perfect storm for acute pain,” said freshman Alex Jericho, cradling his
arm and oozing from the ears. “I would quit, but I just have too much fun!” continued Jericho.
From The Heckler, to everyone battling these horrible epidemics, thoughts and prayers.
