TAMPA, FLORIDA – Local woman Beth Chowder took the internet by storm last Tuesday after posting a social update for her friends to Instagram Stories, featuring Beth in the foreground, stepping forward, then backwards, on what looked to be an exterior street. 

A source close to Chowder reached out to The Heckler: “it wasn’t so much the stepping forward that caught my eye. I’ve seen enough people do that to sort of be like, eh. But when Beth stepped back. I mean, I haven’t cried that much in a long time. I’ve never seen anything like it. Really empowering stuff.”

The Heckler reached out to Olive Winkler, the woman behind the iPhone 6s that captured the moment. “I’ve taken hundreds of boomerangs, wine glass clinkings, swing swingings, the ‘oopsie!’, but never in my life have I been a part of something so seamless.”

She continued, “it all happened so fast: Beth was there, I was there, she took a step forward. It was one of those moments where the stars aligned and everything felt right. We did it in one take. As close to god as I’ll ever see.” Winkler then got choked up and had to excuse herself from the rest of the interview. 

No word yet on what’s next in store for Chowder. But one thing’s for sure, a path forged by one giant step followed by a step backward and then a step forward, backward is likely a path that will forge forward and will, though backwards may follow forward onwards.
